TalentScope Recruitment Solutions on behalf our our client in Dublin 3 is seeking application for a Data Architect Role.

Experience and Skills Required
 

• 8 + years commercial development experience of hands-on design and implementation of business solutions that include data design/modelling, ETL technologies and reporting/BI technologies, for multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions
• Full Software Development Lifecycle experience.
• Track record of delivery of projects in mission critical environments.
• Exposure to Multiple, diverse business systems, technologies and processing environments.
• Solid understanding of metadata management best practices with experience implementing or operating a metadata repository.
• Awareness of Big Data Solutions.
• Prior experience of contributing to the development of IT strategies
• Knowledge of all aspects of IT architecture (TOGAF or other frameworks is a benefit).
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse platforms

Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Establish and maintain an Enterprise Data Model describing how data is processed, stored, and utilised, including source to report lineage.
• Develop data governance strategy and controls to ensure consistency of data between various systems, and across the enterprise system architecture.
• Provide advice and give presentations on solutions for business intelligence and data warehousing activities including reporting, and data analytics for stakeholders at different levels within the organisation.
• Understand how the data relates to the current operations and the effects that any future process changes will have on the use of data in the organisation.
• Provide guidance to the Business at Project Aspiration stage on potential solutions and high level costs.
• Consult with other architects and subject matter experts from technical/business areas, to translate business needs into solution architecture designs.
• Work with Business Managers to ensure solution designs meet the operational needs of the business while adhering to the architecture framework.
• Consultation and collaboration with Enterprise Architect, Security and Service delivery areas to ensure solutions adhere to strategies, standards and policies.
• Provide documentation around high level solution design, estimates and delivery schedule, as part of the approval process.
