Job Description

TalentScope Recruitment Solutions on behalf of our client in Dublin 2, is seeking applications for a Senior Systems & Network Administrator on a permanent basis to join their IT Team.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of various operating systems such as Linux & Windows.
An understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP and DNS to debug and troubleshoot common problems.
Excellent time-keeping and communication skills. This is essential in working with other departments.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent verbal and written English-language communication skills.
Ability to write system documentation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when required. This can be required when working with other members of staff and/or customers in other geographic locations.
Knowledge & experience of computer hardware.
Willingness to travel overseas if required.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

Knowledge of firewalls, routing and IT security.
Virtualization knowledge.
Support of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, etc.
Storage knowledge, i.e. SAN & NAS.
Cisco and other networking certifications or familiarity with the configuration of Cisco devices.
